Real Madrid needs to beat Getafe on Saturday to ease the pressure on coach Manuel Pellegrini after a terrible run of results which culminated in a 4-0 loss to third-division Alcorcon.
Madrid is second in the league, three points behind Barcelona. However, recent losses to Sevilla and AC Milan showed that the club's offseason spending spree has still not produced priceless football. The loss to Alcorcon in the first leg of the fourth round of the Copa del Rey was particularly painful with the lower-division side looking superior throughout.
