Rangers striker Nacho Novo has been charged with improper conduct for gesturing to Aberdeen supporters during a Scottish Premier League match.

The 30-year-old Spaniard lowered his shorts as he left the field at the end of the 1-0 loss last month.

But it was an apparent finger gesture to home fans at Pittodrie that landed him with the Scottish Football Association charge on Friday.

The matter has been referred to the SFA's disciplinary committee and the case will be heard on Jan. 26.
