Scott Brown kept Celtic in the Scottish Cup on Sunday by securing a 2-2 draw against Glasgow rival Rangers in a fifth-round match that both teams finished with 10 men.

Rangers led twice, with 19-year-old midfielder Jamie Ness netting his first goal for the club after just three minutes.

Kris Commons leveled from Joe Ledley's cutback, but Steven Whittaker restored Rangers' lead from the penalty spot in the 41st after goalkeeper Fraser Forster was sent off for a foul on Steven Naismith.

With 10 men, Brown curled in Celtic's second equalizer in the 65th.

Naismith was also dismissed in the 76th when the Rangers defender was shown a second yellow card after being adjudged to have dived in the penalty area.
