Ramsey hungry for successful return
The 20-year-old is closing in on a comeback following eight months of rehabilitation after suffering an horrific broken leg in a challenge by Stoke's Ryan Shawcross in the Premier League game at the Britannia Stadium during February of last season. Ramsey has been forced to take things gradually, and hopes when he does finally get back into competitive action with the Gunners it will be a successful return. "I am just doing my pre-season work now, trying to get a bit of spring back in my right leg, but apart from that all is going well so far," Ramsey told Arsenal TV Online. "I have been doing strengthening exercises and those sorts of things for a long time now and I am starting to feel the benefits. "I am now outside training with the fitness coach. It feels great to be back outside and kicking the ball around again. "I think I am on track, the target is November time." Ramsey added: "I am a very motivated guy and I have missed it a lot - it has made me realise how much it means to me. "I just want to get back out there and start doing what I used to do." Gunners boss Arsene Wenger admits impatience is often the most difficult hurdle for a young player to overcome following a serious injury. Ramsey has put his complete "trust" in the Arsenal medical staff to ensure that when he finally does get back on the pitch, it will be at the right time. "I think it depends on the individual, sometimes people like to take a bit longer to make sure everything is spot on and some people want to get back as soon as they can," he said. "I am just going with what the staff are saying here, I trust them and I am just doing the best I can at this moment in time."
