Pablo Barrera's first-half goal lifted Pumas to a 1-0 victory
Wednesday over fellow Mexican club Cruz Azul in the first-leg
semifinal of the CONCACAF Champions League.
Barrera scored in the 23rd minute. The victory was Pumas'
first over Cruz Azul after eight straight losses against Cruz Azul
at Pumas' home stadium.
The second leg of the total-goals series is April 6 at Cruz
Azul.
On Tuesday in the other first-leg semifinal, Mexican clubs
Toluca and Pachuca drew 1-1.
