Pulis: No problem with Arsenal

The Potters' manager insists his side will go into the game just as they would do with any other top-flight encounter, despite the recent bad blood between the sides. Theo Walcott was carried off with a dislocated shoulder back in 2008 while Aaron Ramsey's ankle was shattered in a challenge with Ryan Shawcross in February 2010. Gunners boss Arsenal Wenger accused Pulis' men of deliberately injuring players, which got him into hot water with the Football Association and Premier League. But Pulis said: "There's no problem with us and Arsenal. You take it on the chin and get on with it. No-one will stop me being competitive. It's all in the past. Arsene is a very competitive man and he'll be desperate to win." And, while they have beaten the Gunners at home on three of the last four occasions, they have not won at Arsenal since 1981. But Pulis is sure his side can cope with their third game in a week which has seen them defeat Fulham in the Premier League and Maccabi Tel-Aviv in the Europa League. Pulis added: "What we realised is that we have to cut the training down and do more strength and conditioning. "The third game in the stretch is very difficult and to have every game away afterwards is tough." Meanwhile, midfielder Rory Delap insists the club are not concerned what people think of their supposedly direct style. He said: "We're not bothered what people say about us. Usually if people are moaning it's because we've beaten them. "Stevie Gerrard hits 60 or 70-yard passes for Liverpool, but somehow that's never called long ball. "I don't think our defenders get the credit sometimes for the accuracy of their passes. People get a perception about us and that's fine if that's what they want."
