Paris Saint-Germain has strongly condemned a group of supporters who disrupted a morning training session on Thursday and abused a journalist filming the scene.
French reports said about 50 thugs overwhelmed security and tried to invade the training ground, spitting at a cameraman from L'Equipe TV, before police restored order.
PSG said in a statement Thursday that it ''strongly condemns an attempt at forceful intrusion at the training ground by individuals claiming to be PSG supporters.''
The club said it will continue ''all of its efforts to fight against violence.''
PSG long harbored a violent hooligan element among its fans from 1985-2010 until fan groups were disbanded and heavy restrictions were implemented on fans traveling away to games.
