Sporting continued its recent revival with a 3-0 win against Porto in the Portuguese league on Sunday.

The result leaves the Lisbon team in fourth place on 32 points and on track to win a Europa League spot for next season. Porto stays third on 43 points.

It was Sporting's first league win in five games and follows its 3-0 victory over Everton in the Europa League last week.

Yannick Djalo opened the scoring at Sporting's Jose Alvalade Stadium in the third minute. Marat Izmailov and Miguel Veloso added to the scoreboard either side of halftime.

Earlier, Pacos Ferreira beat Setubal 5-3 and Rio Ave beat Academica 1-0.

On Saturday, Benfica extended its unbeaten run to 12 games as it won 4-0 at Leixoes to stay top of the standings.

Braga beat Olhanense 3-1 to keep up the pressure on the leader and recover from its recent shock 5-1 defeat to Porto.

Benfica has 52 points and Braga 51.

Also, Naval beat Maritimo 2-1.
