Avram Grant maintains Portsmouth should not fear Chelsea in the FA Cup final - but admits they must be careful if they are to avoid a drubbing.

Chelsea stormed to the Premier League title with an 8-0 demolition of Wigan on Sunday.

Carlo Ancelotti's men also chalked up big wins over Aston Villa, Sunderland and Stoke at Stamford Bridge, while also putting five past Pompey at Fratton Park during March in a season that saw them break the 100-goal barrier.

Grant quipped: "Chelsea won by eight against Wigan, last week by seven - every year I watch the NBA finals, and I thought I was watching basketball.

"We have an agreement that they will stop at four. I said to them: 'I did so many good things for you, you need to give back. I know you are not used to giving back, you are only used to taking'."

Grant, though, stressed: "To be serious, I don't believe in football that you need to fear. I don't believe in it in life either.

"But against this team we need to be very, very careful because they can hurt you from everywhere.

"They are a very good team and we need to be aware of this, but we are coming to Wembley and I can promise you this we will try to play football."
