Spanish police say they have captured a fan of Serbian soccer club Partizan convicted of killing a French fan.

Spanish police said Thursday that Djordje Prelic was identified during a routine passport control in Barcelona after it was discovered he was using a fake Czech passport.

Prelic was sentenced to 15 years in prison by a Serbian court for taking part in an attack by a group of Partizan hooligans on a Toulouse fan that resulted in his death before a Europa League game in 2009.
