Salamanca player Miguel Garcia has left the hospital, four days after having a heart attack during a Spanish second-division game.
The 31-year-old Garcia was cleared by medical staff after spending the past few days undergoing tests. Garcia says he was feeling ''perfect'' as he walked out of a local hospital under his own power and with a smile.
Garcia crumpled to the ground in the 61st minute of Sunday's game against Real Betis but was quickly revived by team doctors. But doctors say his playing career is over.
The incident follows the deaths of Spanish players Antonio Puerta of Sevilla and Daniel Jarque of Espanyol due to heart-related problems in recent years.
