Pirlo keen to end Juve drought
New Juventus midfielder Andrea Pirlo believes he has more than enough fuel in the tank to help the Turin giants end their title drought.
Pirlo, who signed a three-year contract with the club on Tuesday, had spent the previous 10 seasons with AC Milan but has now turned his attention to helping Juve try and win their first scudetto since the 2002/03 campaign.
At his unveiling, the 32-year-old said: "I chose Juve because among Milan and Inter, it is the most important club in Italy, in Europe and in the world.
"They want to return to winning titles as they have not done that in a few years.
"I am someone who likes to win and I think that this team has the biggest will and motivation to return to lift titles.
"This is why I chose Juve."
Pirlo has been one of Milan's most consistent performers for the past decade, helping them win two Champions League titles.
He also won the World Cup with Italy in 2006.
However, Pirlo struggled with injuries and form this season and made just 12 Serie A starts as Milan won the title.
Juve finished a disappointing season in seventh place to miss out on European qualification.
Juve, meanwhile, have confirmed that former Sampdoria left-back Reto Ziegler is undergoing a medical in Turin on Wednesday.
The Switzerland international is set to become Juve's second summer signing following the arrival of Pirlo.
