Hearts have announced that midfielder Mehdi Taouil will leave the club when his contract expires at the end of May.
Mehdi, signed by former manager Jim Jefferies, joined the club in the summer of 2011 from Kilmarnock, following a four-year spell at Rugby Park.
The Moroccan made 68 appearances for Hearts, including a run out as a substitute in the 5-1 William Hill Scottish Cup Final triumph over Hibernian.
Defender Danny Grainger is also leaving and joins Darren Barr, Gordon Smith, Denis Prychynenko and George Scott in looking to pursue their careers away from Tynecastle.
Youth team coach Brett Adams and lead foundation coach Lee Broster resigned their positions last week before a disciplinary hearing into their conduct was due to be held.
A statement released by the League One club said: "Notts County would like to reiterate the club's zero tolerance policy on any form of bullying or intimidation.
"As a club, Notts County are committed to offering a safe and enjoyable environment for all of its employees, both playing and administrative, and want every member of staff to feel comfortable in reporting any incidents that contravene this strategy.
"Recent incidents have brought the club's procedures for dealing with bullying and intimidation under scrutiny, but we are delighted to have received praise for our actions in such matters from both the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) and the League Managers' Association (LMA).
"Both organisations were involved throughout a recent disciplinary issue and were impressed with how the club dealt with the issues raised, co-operating fully to ensure the most stringent possible investigation was launched.
"Whilst we cannot comment on the specifics of such actions, we would like to assure everyone associated with Notts County that we take any allegations of inappropriate behaviour seriously and will always investigate fully any accusations brought against anyone involved with the club.
"We would like to thank the PFA and the LMA for their support in investigating recent matters and will be looking to involve them in further education of all staff to ensure that Notts County Football Club is an open and inviting company for all of its employees and a credit to our local community."
The 27-year-old's contract was set to expire this summer but he will now skipper the Robins until the end of the 2014/15 campaign.
"I was always going to sign this contract," he told the club's official website. "We just needed to sort a few bits and bobs out but it's all finalised and I'm happy to say I'll be here for the next two years at least.
"Being made team captain was a big part of why I signed because I've enjoyed having the armband for the last few months and I think it has improved my game.
"The main reason I signed though was because I have loved every minute of my last two years with this club."
Penn made 51 appearances in the heart of midfield last season and wore the captain's armband during the second half of the campaign following the departure of Alan Bennett.
