Pav's Tottenham talks ongoing
Pavlyuchenko was linked with a move away from White Hart Lane during the English window after falling down the pecking order under Harry Redknapp. Redknapp was prepared to listen to offers for the Russian frontman, but nobody was able to match Spurs' valuation. Robbie Keane's loan switch to Celtic on deadline day has left Pavlyuchenko vying for a place in the starting XI with Jermain Defoe, Peter Crouch and new signing Eidur Gudjohnsen. However, the 28-year-old's representative Oleg Artemov remains locked in talks with Levy and hopes there will be developments this week. Artemov does not believe Keane's departure will make much of a difference to Pavlyuchenko, while there is still a possibility he could leave Spurs before the summer. Clubs in Russia are allowed to buy players until mid-March and Lokomotiv Moscow are reported to have made a bid of £9.6million. "I do not think Keane's move to Celtic changes much in Pavlyuchenko's destiny with Spurs," Artemov said in the Daily Star. "We are still in negotiations with Levy. I'm having another meeting with him in the next couple of days."
