Disgruntled Palmeiras fans broke into the team's store and lit it on fire after another loss moved the club closer to relegation in the Brazilian league.

Firefighters quickly put the fire out early Monday and no one was injured, but some products were destroyed. The small fire happened after Palmeiras' 3-2 loss to Fluminense, a result that left the team seven points from safety with three rounds left.

The words ''the peace is over'' were painted on the wall of the store outside the team's stadium. Death threats against the club's president had been painted at the same location last week, when players also were threatened because of the team's struggles.

Coach Gilson Kleina said Sunday players are already upset, and ''violence'' and ''threats'' will only make things worse.
