Palmeiras says it has signed Brazilian midfielder Wesley from Werder Bremen to a five-year contract.
Palmeiras announced the deal on Tuesday after it had been put on hold with the club having asked fans to donate money to help in the transaction.
Nearly $350,000 was collected, but officials say they found investors to come up with part of the ?6 million ($8 million) needed to sign the player and plan to return the money to the supporters.
Wesley arrived in Bremen from Brazilian club Santos in 2010 but never really settled in the Bundesliga.
