Palermo coaching carousel continues as it re-hires Iachini
PALERMO --
Palermo has re-hired Giuseppe Iachini, three months after he was fired in its fourth coaching change of the season.
Iachini was fired in November but his replacement Davide Ballardini was sacked two months later.
Guillermo Barros Schelotto was brought in but did not have the correct coaching license. He coached from the stands for a month, with Giovanni Tedesco filling in on the bench, as he awaited confirmation from UEFA. But it did not offer approval and youth squad coach Giovanni Bosi was appointed.
However, Bosi lasted just one match - Sunday's 3-1 defeat to Torino at home, which left Palermo in 15th place, four points above the relegation zone
Maurizio Zamparini has made more than 30 coaching changes in his 14 years as Palermo president.
