LONDON (AP) Crystal Palace moved provisionally third in the Premier League on Saturday with a dominant 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion, which fell to its first away defeat of the season.
Palace, which had a strong penalty appeal turned down minutes earlier, broke the deadlock in the 68th minute as West Brom failed to clear a corner and it came out to Yohan Cabaye, who put in an inch-perfect cross for an unmarked Yannick Bolasie to head home. It was his first goal at Selhurst Park in almost three years.
Cabaye secured the result with a penalty after Chris Brunt brought down Wilfried Zaha, who had tormented West Brom's defense all match.
West Brom had an early blow when Jonny Evans limped off with a hamstring injury in the 24th.
