Ollie: We won't be distracted
The Seasiders, promoted from the Championship under Holloway at the end of last season, have been forced to contend with rumours regarding the future of captain Charlie Adam ahead of next month's transfer window. The manager also has to deal with David Vaughan, Stephen Crainey and Matt Gilks, who are all out of contract at the end of the season. However, Holloway has made it clear that matters on the pitch are his only focus over the coming months, and he expects his players to adopt the same stance. He told the Blackpool Gazette: "Whether it be lads who are yet to agree new contracts or someone being linked with Charlie (Adam), staying in the Premier League is more important than anything. "Nothing will get in the way of it." Holloway insists he is "completely relaxed" about contract talks with his players, but admits negotiations could be lengthy. "Myself and the chairman had a good chat about things in the way we always do and we'll see what happens over the coming months," he said. "I don't particularly enjoy all this contract stuff. I'd much rather be out on the training ground with the players worrying about the next match on a Saturday. "But these things need to be done and I am completely relaxed about the whole situation. "I've got people who are out of contract who I'd like to re-sign but it is almost impossible at the moment to get it done. "We've offered part one in terms of new contracts. There might be a part two, part three and part four by the end of the season. It's early doors. "We don't know what we're doing yet but at least we've done the right thing by making offers. The lads involved are thinking about it because they know they will be out of contract. "But what we are all focusing on, including those players, is trying to remain in this Premier League."
