Sean O'Driscoll has been announced as the new manager of second-tier club Nottingham Forest on a three-year deal by its new Kuwaiti owners, the Al Hasawi family.

Fawaz Al Hasawi says, ''We interviewed many well-known and high-profile figures but we truly believe Sean O'Driscoll is the best man for the job.

''Sean's passion for Nottingham Forest, knowledge of the game and the Championship in particular, plus his work ethic, shone through in our conversations.''

O'Driscoll, who was first-team coach at Forest for five months last season, had only been coach of third-tier Crawley Town for two months before returning to the City Ground.
