Premier League newcomer Norwich has agreed to sign Spanish defender Daniel Ayala from Liverpool.
The 20-year-old defender is set to leave Anfield after failing to win a regular first-team place in his four years at the club.
He made just five Premier League appearances for Liverpool and spent time on loan at Hull and Derby the past two seasons.
Norwich did not say how much Ayala would cost, saying in a statement that it would pay ''an undisclosed fee, subject to the relevant paperwork being finalized.''

Norwich opened the season Saturday with a 1-1 draw at Wigan.
