Catania head to Milan in confident mood for Sunday's meeting with Inter at the San Siro having learnt how to beat the Nerazzurri last season.
The Sicilians drew in Milan and beat Inter at home last year, and given their opponent's poor home form this season with only one win coming against Fiorentina recently, Rolando Maran's side have every right to fancy their chances.
Catania have started the season well with three wins and two draws from seven games, but Maran believes they can get even better.
"It's nice to receive compliments and we're happy to accept them, but we can still improve," he said.
"We've not achieved anything yet and we need to confirm everything that we have done.
"We're fifth in the table and we've even lost games in which we played well. Now we're looking to improve further."
Inter have also improved after a difficult start to the campaign, and three wins in a row, including victory over city rivals AC Milan in the derby a fortnight ago, have lifted Andrea Stramaccioni's side up to third in the table.
However, the Inter coach is not getting ahead of himself.
"It is not intelligent for me, as coach of a side at the beginning of a new cycle, to start talking about the title," he told Tuttosport newspaper.
"Maybe in March or April, when we look at the league table, we can start to think about it, but not now."
Stramaccioni's current thoughts are on preparing his side for another marathon run of seven games in the next 22 days.
Inter face Partizan Belgrade on Thursday in the Europa League knowing that two more wins in Europe could be enough to qualify for the knockout stage with two games to spare.
With that game in mind, Stramaccioni may well make changes to his side with Rodrigo Palacio fit again and able to give Philippe Coutinho a rest.
