The former Sunderland midfielder signed for Liverpool earlier this week after starring for Steve Bruce's side during the past year, but he will feature heavily in the England team at the European Under-21 Championships before resting ahead of the new campaign. The 20-year-old believes he still has something to offer at the end of a long campaign and that representing his country should not be overlooked. "I know there are managers and players worried about burnout and playing too much, but I feel fine after the season," he told liverpoolfc.tv "Yes I've played a lot, but I've still got lots to give, still got energy. We are young and want to play football and can achieve something special for our country." Henderson, who made his senior England bow against France last November, is looking to use the upcoming tournament in Denmark as a springboard back into Fabio Capello's squad. "At U21 level, we feel there is a process whereby you can get passed through the ranks. If you do well, Fabio Capello will notice - or Stuart Pearce will tell him. "He goes to a lot of the games to watch us and that is important to all the players who play in the U21s," he said.
