NKorean team beats Middlesbrough Ladies 6-2

Middlesbrough Ladies soccer team has lost the first match of its groundbreaking visit to North Korea.

The Korean Central News Agency said the English team lost 6-2 Sunday to local side April 25 in Pyongyang.

Middlesbrough Ladies is on a four-day visit, continuing the town's connection to North Korea that dates to the 1966 World Cup.

North Korea's squad stayed in Middlesbrough during that World Cup and the local community adopted North Korea as its second team.

Middlesbrough Ladies is the first British soccer team to visit North Korea. It will have another match and hold coaching sessions for children.
