The Nigerian Football Federation has postponed its friendly against Iran on Wednesday after a diplomatic row soured relations between the two countries.
Musa Amadu, the federation's acting secretary general, told The Associated Press on Monday that the match in Tehran was postponed "due to the non-availability of our key players."
The postponement comes days after Nigeria threatened to report Iran to the United Nations over its involvement in an arms seizure made last month at Nigeria's busiest port.
Amadu did not deny a connection between the two events, saying
"it's for you to speculate."
