Neymar: Barcelona in best form of season after PSG win

Neymar believes Barcelona is in its best form of the season after his double in the quarterfinal second leg against Paris Saint-Germain sent the Catalan club into the UEFA Champions League last four.

A first-half brace from the Brazil forward helped Barca to a 5-1 aggregate win. Barca is unbeaten in its last 13 games and has now reached the last four of the Champions League in six of the last seven seasons.

And Neymar, whose double took him to 30 goals for the season, said in quotes reported by AS: "I think this is Barca's best form of the season. We're in a great form in the Champions League, the league, everything. We have to keep it up. I'm very happy for the season we're having and we have to continue like this to reach our objectives, keep progressing until the end."

Coach Luis Enrique added: "It was a very good round, we have been at a high level in both games. It was key to stay concentrated. The team has taken the tie seriously and made a great match."

David Luiz has conceded that Paris Saint-Germain could not match the level of Barcelona after it was knocked out of the UEFA Champions League at the quarterfinal stage.

And Luiz told ITV: "They were a better team than us in both games. They controlled the games and deserved to qualify. They had a great match and took opportunities to score when they came. All the teams have spent money. We did very well until here, but against Barca we couldn't play at the same level. This is life."

The former Chelsea man expects PSG to fare better in next season's competition, however, adding: "We need to improve and next year we will challenge for the Champions League."
