Shorey has impressed at left-back since his summer move from Aston Villa while versatile Chile international Jara, playing on the right, has adapted well to the step up in leagues. Albion number two Newton told the club's website: "Nicky and Gonzalo's performances have been fantastic. "They defend very well, they're both aggressive but the big thing is that they keep the ball really well."
