New Zealand and Australia will meet in an international football friendly at Adelaide on June 5.

New Zealand Football on Tuesday announced the match, which will take place only three days after the Kiwis' international at altitude in Denver against Mexico.

New Zealand coach Ricki Herbert says the travel schedule for his team will be demanding but the chance to play two teams ranked in the world's top 30 was too good to pass up.

It will be only the second match between New Zealand and Australia since 2005. Australia won a World Cup warmup match between the teams 2-1 in Melbourne last May.
