Neville glad to stick with Toffees
Neville signed a contract extension at the weekend that will keep him with the Toffees until 2013. The 34-year-old was wanted by Tottenham in January but stayed on Merseyside and is delighted he can now look forward to at least another two years at Goodison Park. "I think loyalty takes you a long way," Neville told Sky Sports News. "In January there was a lot of speculation, but we waited to the summer and the club rewarded me. "This club has never let me down - they can see I've been here for six years and that I'm the captain of the team, and they've given me a new contract." Neville, who joined Everton from Manchester United in August 2005, was typically influential for the Toffees last season and is eager to keep going for as long as possible. He said: "I'm looking at three or four years because I see players around at the moment, and I feel some of the best players in the league are some of the most experienced ones who are 34 or 35. "I don't see why, if I look after myself and keep myself fit, I can't just keep playing."
