NBA star heading to Anfield
The Miami Heat forward, who holds a minority share in the club after signing a marketing deal with Fenway Sports Group, spent the day touring the club's Melwood training ground and Anfield. He posted a number of photographs on Twitter of his day behind the scenes at the club. Liverpool chairman Tom Werner is also on Merseyside this weekend but it appears principal owner John Henry will not be present. He has more pressing matters with the Boston Red Sox baseball side, who after a disappointing season have parted company with manager Terry Francona, with general manager Theo Epstein reported to be joining the Chicago Cubs. The Boston Herald report receiving an email from Henry in which he confirmed he would not be travelling to England, saying: "Too much going on here." Werner has made the trip and was also at Melwood to watch the players train. "We saw Tom (Werner)," manager Kenny Dalglish told liverpoolfc.tv. "Obviously we were training but he doesn't want to come along and interfere, he just wants to watch and be part of it. "They are very respectful and they know their way around sports clubs. It's great to see them over here."
