Let’s take a look at the players I’ll be looking to add to my FIFA 17 Ultimate Team once the game releases

The hype for FIFA 17 is real. I’ve played the closed beta, and I liked it a lot. With the demo set to arrive in the next few days, and the games release this month, I’ve been thinking about who I want in my Ultimate Team.

Generally, I’m not a big Ultimate Team player on FIFA. I tend to stick to career mode or seasons. During FIFA 14 and 15 I spent some money on coins ( I know, I’m Satan) and I decided to redeem myself by avoiding in-game purchases for FIFA 16.

I think I perhaps spent £3 in order to play the draft, and that’s that. Maybe I broke my rule, maybe I can live with it.

Despite not investing in expensive packs, I still enjoyed Ultimate Team more this year. I reached division three with ease, using only a standard Premier League side.

I got the likes of Raheem Sterling in free packs, and bought cheaper players to fill the rest of my squad.

On FIFA 17, I’m hoping I can get somewhere around division three once again. Why only division three? Well, I don’t like sweating my back off in order to win games. I want to be able to enjoy my games, instead of trying really hard in order to win. Division three suits my skill level, because I can compete without trying very hard.

Who knows, maybe I’ll try to go a step further once FIFA 17 is released.

Here’s some of the players I’ll be looking to add to my Ultimate Team once the new game releases. Of course, not all the player ratings are confirmed, but some guess work won’t hurt. I’ll explain why I want each player on their individual slides.

    Hugo Lloris

For the past two FIFA games, Hugo Lloris has been my go-to keeper. In game, I find him so reliable, and now with an increased overall he’s sure to be even better.

At 88 rated, Lloris boasts an impressive 90 reflexes, and has both his diving and handling rated at 87. He looks like an insane goalkeeper to have in any Premier League side.

He’s the same rating as Petr Cech, and finds himself as the joint third best goalkeeper in the Premier League behind Thibaut Courtois (89) and David De Gea (90).

I hope Lloris doesn’t cost too much, because he’s a player I really want in my Ultimate Team.

    Joel Matip

The thought of Joel Matip in FIFA 17 has me ready to slaughter people. The thought of having a 6’5 defender, who has strength, speed and decent ability on the ball is insane.

From what I played of the closed beta, defenders like Matip will rule this new game. In FIFA 16, he’s an 81 rated CB with a solid 84 defending. This is then accompanied by his helpful height, 78 physical and 73 pace – which is very balanced for a CB.

I’m hoping he gets an upgrade in FIFA 17, but even if he stays the same I want him in my Ultimate Team.

    Alexis Sanchez

Now this one has surprised even me. When it comes to FIFA games, I’ve always preferred the likes of Eden Hazard or someone incredible like Neymar, but this FIFA I’m feeling Sanchez.

During the beta, I got to try out Sanchez in the new engine, and he actually felt pretty good. His cutting in was highly effective, and his ability to score wonderful goals served me well.

Having an impressive 87 rating in FIFA 17, with 86 pace, 88 dribbling and 82 shooting, Sanchez will be right up on my ‘to buy’ list.

    Round up

From the three targets on the previous slides, it’s obvious I want to build another Premier League team. Joel Matip is the only choice I think will be affordable early on, and I’ll be hoping to pack or trade my way to being able to grab the other two players.

Of course, there’s plenty more players I want to sign, but I’d also like to know who you’ll be eager to use on FIFA 17. Comment down below with the players you’d like to use on the new game, and feel free to leave feedback if you want more FIFA related content.
