Blackburn Rovers skipper Danny Murphy has outlined the importance of getting back to winning ways at Charlton.

Rovers lost their first game of the season last weekend against Middlesbrough, and the former Addicks midfielder is eyeing a return to form at The Valley.

"When you have a bad performance and a bad result it is double whammy really," Murphy told the club's official website.

"Sometimes you can lose a game and be unlucky and not worry so much but the performance wasn't great.

"So after our first defeat of the season it is imperative that you bounce back quickly and put in a good performance

"We've been working hard all week on putting it right, making sure that we are ready and prepared and correcting the things that we felt we did wrong in the Middlesbrough game."
