The German football federation has chosen Munich's Allianz Arena as the country's proposed venue to host matches at the 2020 European Championship.
The federation's leadership on Friday chose Bayern Munich's 69,000-seat stadium over a rival bid from Berlin's 74,000-seat Olympic Stadium, which hosted the 2006 World Cup final.
Germany will bid for two packages - three group matches and a quarterfinal, or the two semifinals and the final.
The tournament will be contested in 13 stadiums in 13 countries, and UEFA's executive committee will choose the host cities in September 2014.
