Moyes receives Round support

The Toffees have won just once - at Birmingham just before the international break - and are 17th in the Premier League. But despite gathering only six points from seven matches Everton's performances have been better than that, with the last-gasp 3-3 at home to Manchester United a case in point. Round believes the club have both the manager and the squad to make a difference. "I have so much belief in these players and when you have a manager like David Moyes, who drives the players every day and won't settle for less than the very best they can give, then you know success is on the way," he said. "We are not happy with where we are and we began addressing that against Birmingham. "The team are determined to continue that and still believe they can finish in the upper echelons of this division." Sunday's Merseyside derby at Goodison Park is one of the most significant in recent years as Liverpool, who have well-documented off-field problems, are also down near the foot of the table, a place below their near-neighbours on goal difference. But Round believes the victory at St Andrew's, on the same weekend Liverpool were losing at home to Blackpool, gives them the upper hand going into this weekend. "The improved result and level of performance from Birmingham has to continue against Liverpool and if we can do that then I have every confidence we can go on a great run and end up very high in the table," Round told the club's website.
