Mourinho says Spanish league is not lost

Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho says the Spanish league title is not lost, even though his team could provisionally fall 10 points behind if leader Barcelona beats Atletico Madrid.

Mourinho says "we cannot forget the league" as "the numbers say we can still win it."

Madrid has dropped five points in its past three matches ahead of its home match against Real Sociedad on Sunday. Barcelona plays later Saturday.

Mourinho also defended striker Cristiano Ronaldo, who has not scored in his last four outings, saying "if Cristiano didn't score another goal in the rest of the season, we would still have had a fantastic season."

Ronaldo has scored 32 goals in 34 games so far this campaign.
