Atlante's hopes of reaching the Mexican Clausura final series were ended with a 1-1 draw at second-placed Morelia.
Jose Fonseca gave Atlante a 56th-minute lead but its slim hopes of progressing were ended when Huiqui Andrade leveled in injury time.
The point was good enough for Morelia to draw level with Tigres Monterrey, who has played a game less.
