Massimo Moratti has no doubt Jose Mourinho will remain at Inter Milan next season, despite reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid.

According to Spanish media, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is keen to lure Mourinho to the Bernabeu to replace Manuel Pellegrini this summer.

"Mourinho has a contract with Inter," Inter president Moratti told Gazzetta dello Sport. "But besides this, I am certain that he will happily remain."

Mourinho, who guided Inter to the Scudetto in his first season in charge, is under contract with the Nerazzurri until June 2011.

Moratti has reason to be satisfied with Mourinho as Inter are still alive in all three competitions this season.

They lead the Serie A standings with a four-point advantage over AC Milan, have reached the Coppa Italia semi-finals and go into this month's Champions League last-16 second leg tie at Chelsea holding a 2-1 lead.

"The newspapers talk about Mourinho as a character," said Moratti. "But they forget that, above all, he is a great professional.

"He takes care of every minor detail. He is very focused on the work done in training and I believe he deserves all the money he gets from his contract."
