Monaco draws 2-2 at home to Bordeaux
Monaco stayed mired in the relegation zone after drawing 2-2 at home to Bordeaux on Tuesday.
Bordeaux took an early lead when Monaco defender Djimi Traore scored an own goal following a mix-up in defense.
Monaco rallied with goals from Park Chu-young and Mathieu Coutadeur to lead 2-1 midway through the second half, before Brazilian winger Jussie leveled for the visitors in the 74th minute.
Monaco finished the game with 10 men after Coutadeur was sent off for a second yellow card late on for fouling Czech Republic midfielder Jaroslav Plasil.
Bordeaux is in ninth place with 15 points, while Monaco is 18th with 10 points and is three adrift of 17th-placed Nice. Brest is top with 21 points.
The match at Stade Louis II was rescheduled after being postponed Sunday due to heavy downpours.
Bordeaux scored in the 10th minute when goalkeeper Stephane Ruffier pushed Benoit Tremoulinas's cross against Traore's leg and it bounced back past him and into the net.
Park equalized in the 49th minute when he turned in the rebound after Dieumerci Mbokani headed Coutadeur's left-wing cross against the crossbar.
Coutadeur made it 2-1 in the 65th when his free kick from the left bounced past goalkeeper Cedric Carrasso without anyone touching it.
Bordeaux made it 2-2 when Ruffier came out to collect a corner from the left and missed the ball, allowing Jussie to score with a half-volley.
Mbokani missed the chance to win the match in the fourth minute of stoppage time when he shot straight at Carrasso from six yards (meters) out.
Three more players from each side were booked in a keenly-contested match.
