Milijas hopes to get lucky
Mick McCarthy's men ended a run of four straight league defeats with a 3-2 win over Sunderland last weekend, but they remain 19th and are only above bottom side West Ham on goal difference. However, they are also only three points behind Fulham in 17th going into their match against Blackburn at Ewood Park tomorrow. Serbian midfielder Milijas believes the team have not received due reward for some impressive performances and admits results rather than the quality of football being played have to be the club's priority. He told the club's official website: "It's all right when everyone says 'you played well and lost, you were so unlucky'. "I hope we will have a terrible performance, play badly and win - so we get lucky! "I want someone to say 'you were lucky today, you didn't play well and you won." Milijas added: "I hope we can go on a winning run now - we need nine points to really get back in the pack with the other teams. "Hopefully that run started with Sunderland and we can carry it on by taking something from all these games coming up." The Serb believes he and his team-mates have now come to terms with the pressure that rides on every game in the top flight. "Pressure is something that comes with football every week and we must learn to play with that pressure because in the Premier League, every game is a pressure occasion," he said. "That said, I think we can play like we did against Sunderland every week. "After getting three points, I hope we can build on that against Blackburn, but it will be very hard. "Both teams have big expectations for the game, but we will all try our best and try to take something from the match." Wolves midfielder David Jones will miss the game at Blackburn because of a foot injury suffered in last week's win over the Black Cats. Jones required stitches in the wound and will not feature at Ewood Park, while striker Steven Fletcher is also a doubt because of an illness. Defender Steven Mouyokolo is still struggling with a back problem which ruled him out of the Sunderland game. Christophe Berra is available again after suspension but Dave Edwards (thigh) and Karl Henry (knee) remain sidelined, although Edwards is set to resume training next week.
