Milan to face Chicago in May friendly
AC Milan will play the Chicago Fire in a May 30 exhibition at
Toyota Park, part of the Italian team's North American postseason
tour.
Milan, currently third in Italy's Serie A, had already
announced exhibitions against D.C. United (May 26) and the Montreal
Impact (June 2). This will be the second meeting between Milan and
the Fire, with the Italians winning 3-1 in 2005.
With the game coming just two weeks before the World Cup,
Milan will likely be without several of its regular starters.
Gianluca Zambrotta, Andrea Pirlo and Gennaro Gattuso are among the
Azzurri players, and Italy coach Marcelo Lippi could also select
Marco Borriello.
But Filippo Inzaghi hasn't played for Italy since being
dropped before the 2008 European Championship, and Brazil coach
Dunga has shown little interest in Ronaldinho or Pato.
