Milan bullish over key duo
AC Milan have insisted Brazilian duo Ronaldinho and Thiago Silva were "absolutely non-transferable" amid speculation that they could leave.
Former FIFA World Player of the Year Ronaldinho has been linked with a move to the United States to join the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Thiago Silva's agent, meanwhile, has suggested there is a possibility that he could leave Milan to join Real Madrid.
However, Milan have released a short statement which appeared to definitively rule out either player leaving.
The statement read: "AC Milan again confirms the absolute non-transferability of their players Ronaldinho and Thiago Silva."
Ronaldinho's agent Roberto De Assis followed up Milan's message by stating: "He is happy with the Rossoneri and will remain at Milan. I have not got any offer from abroad.
"However, should one arrive, the club have announced that the player is non-transferable and for us it's okay. He is happy in Milan, and so is everybody else involved."
Thiago Silva's agent Paolo Tonietto appeared to hint at the player's exit in quotes reported by Spanish sports newspaper AS yesterday.
"The excellent relationship that exists between Real Madrid and Milan would mean any move would be cured with attention to detail," the agent said.
"The clubs would have to find an agreement first and then we could talk. Real Madrid? We don't know, but he is a big club player."
