The 24-year-old was dismissed by referee Marvyn Amphlett late on for serious foul play, and would have missed the Blues' Premier League matches with Aston Villa, Burnley and Bolton. But after Birmingham submitted written and video evidence to support their case, the Football Association have upheld the claim for wrongful dismissal and withdrawn the suspension. Michel has just started to make a name for himself with the club, starting on his last two outings at Portsmouth and Sunderland last month after five substitute appearances since his debut in January. Manager Alex McLeish, meanwhile, has confirmed he will have money to spend this summer when the transfer window opens, but it will not be "multi-millions". The Scot is also mindful of not going overboard on players' wages, which could lead to financial difficulties later down the line. "We may spend a few bob on transfers, but you know we do still need to be careful on the wages front," McLeish told www.sport.co.uk. "When you get to the higher levels you can see what happens to some clubs, especially if you get relegated. You can't sustain those kind of wages. "Also, if you know these players don't do it for you and you have to move them on, how can you get rid of them when they are on such huge wages? "We've got to keep a steady eye on how high we go with the wages and we will certainly do that. "We still want to improve the level, that means we will have to give better wages, but we don't plan to go out of the stratosphere just this minute."
