Mellon knew goals would come
Micky Mellon insists he was not concerned by his Fleetwood side's shot-shy start to the League Two campaign.
The League Two new boys failed to find the net in their first three league and cup games, taking one point and bowing out of the Capital One Cup against Championship Nottingham Forest.
But the Cod Army have subsequently hit the goal trail, putting four past Aldershot and Morecambe over the past two weekends to make it three wins from three and lie among the early-season pacesetters.
"I always expected it to turn around because in the first game of the season against Torquay we had something like 19 shots on target and never took any, so that's just about finishing then," Mellon told Press Association Sport.
"I'd be more worried if we weren't creating goalscoring chances but we have been doing that.
"So as a manager you've to rely on people putting the final touch to our moves and that's eventually come."
