McLeish tips McFadden to return
The Birmingham midfielder has been out since last September when he suffered the damage to his knee and had to undergo surgery. McFadden has stepped up his rehabilitation programme as he bids to regain full fitness but suffered a scare when his knee swelled up slightly last week. But his manager put that down to his overzealous approach to his recovery. "I think he's going to start running again next week," Mcleish told the club's official website. "He had a wee setback last week when his knee just puffed up a little on an exercise machine. "He's so eager to get back he's pushing himself to the limit." With Birmingham currently in the bottom three, McFadden's return could provide a timely boast to their survival chances. And when asked if he could play again this season, he added: "He could, aye."
