Birmingham vice-chairman Sammy Yu has told Alex McLeish it "is not an issue" if he wants five new players or even a marquee signing in January.
McLeish ran the rule over the Marseille duo of Brandao and Mamadou Niang during the recent Champions League encounter with AC Milan.
