McLeish knows there will be some disappointed members of his squad who miss out on the starting XI - or even the a place on the bench - at Wembley. The Blues boss said: "It is a tough decision for me now to pick a team for the final. "I am sure there will be guys left out of the XI who will be disappointed. "But they've got to spare a thought for the guys who are completely left out and guys who are injured like James McFadden and Scott Dann. "That is a tough decision that has got to be made but that's part of my job. "I'll always pick the team for the bigger picture, never on the back of media influence or individual players' thoughts on whether they should be playing or not." McLeish, who has won 19 trophies as a player and manager, added: "I try and pick the team as fairly as I can and players maybe don't appreciate that. "I know they only think at times about themselves when they are left out but I pick it as fair as they can. "There will be disappointed people next Sunday but I've got to try and put down a strategy for us to win the Carling Cup."
