Martinez' late goal lifts Saprissa past Sounders

Josue Martinez scored in the 87th minute to give Saprissa of Costa Rica a 2-1 victory over the Seattle Sounders on Tuesday and a spot in the knockout phase of the CONCACAF Champions League.
Jairo Arrieta had earlier scored an equalizer in the 25th minute for Saprissa, which clinched second place in Group C with 10 points.
Saprissa will join group champion Monterrey in the quarterfinals, which begin in February 2011.
Seattle finished with one win and five losses in its first CCL appearance.
