Martin heading to County Ground

Swindon Town have reportedly sealed a deal for Norwich striker Chris Martin.

The 24-year-old spent last season on loan at Crystal Palace, but he returned to Carrow Road in the summer hoping to battle for a first-team place.

His chances, though, have remained limited under new boss Chris Hughton and he has now opted to move on loan.

A number of clubs were believed to be interested, but Paolo Di Canio's Swindon have won the race for his signature, according to SkySports.com.

Martin has signed a loan deal keeping him at the County Ground until early January.
