Mexico defender Rafa Marquez is not expected to play in a friendly against Bosnia-Herzegovina on Thursday night after injuring his right quadriceps.

Marquez was apparently hurt in El Tri's 2-0 win over Wales in a friendly on Sunday. Team doctors say he has a strained muscle in his quadriceps, and they plan to be cautious with World Cup qualifying beginning next week. Mexico hosts Guyana on June 8 in Mexico City, then has a game at El Salvador four days later.

After Thursday night's game against Bosnia, Mexico has one final warmup Sunday against Brazil in Arlington, Texas.
