Mancini unfazed by record books

City have rattled in a remarkable 36 goals in their opening 10 Premier League games and with strikers Edin Dzeko, Sergio Aguero and Mario Balotelli all in form, there is potential for many more. Chelsea scored a Premier League record 103 goals in winning the title in 2009-10 and that tally is clearly well within City's reach at their current rate. Yet while Mancini is revelling in the freescoring ability of his side, he is happy to take victories however they come. When asked if Chelsea's record was an incentive, the Italian said: "No, we just want to do better than last year, only this. "I don't prefer 1-0 to 4-0 but I do know it is impossible to always win 3-0 or 4-0. "There will be some moments during the season when winning 1-0 will be good." Italians have a reputation for defensive excellence and 1-0 winning scorelines, and Mancini added: "If you keep a clean sheet every time, that is good." Mancini admits, however, that he does have an embarrassment of riches at his disposal and a tilt at such records should only be expected. He said: "We have Sergio, Edin, Mario, Samir (Nasri), David (Silva) and Yaya (Toure) - all of these players can score in every game. "Now what is important is that we keep on continuing to score. "It is important to have three different strikers with different attitudes. "Edin, Mario and Sergio are totally different as strikers, but then we also have a lot of players in behind the strikers who can score. "What other team has all these resources? I think it is very important."
